PBS Wisconsin seeks an experienced and creative Executive Producer to lead our team of award-winning producer-directors to producelong-form broadcast programs focused on our state’s diverse arts culture. The ideal candidate possesses an understanding of engaging anaudience through the craft of live and post-produced multi-camera production. The candidate will have the experience and skill to coachthe team’s directing and producing work, extensive music rights acquisition experience, a passion for crafting a story through theperforming arts and the ability to build and manage projects with multiple community stakeholders and deadlines. Job Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- Four or more years professional video production experience with producing and directing multi-camera productions in studios and/or remote locations.
- Demonstrated understanding of effective and creative use of production elements to produce engaging long-form video projects, including: script writing, voice-over, soundbites, video, music, sound design and graphics.
- Proven leadership and project management skills. Has the ability to provide strategic planning for projects, effective editorial guidance, coaching, supervision, and evaluation/critique of video edits for the work of others.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to effectively develop and manage several projects simultaneously, including excellent attention to detail, creating and following production budgets/timelines and consistently meeting deadlines under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to manage and prioritize multiple communication streams.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience producing and/or directing performing arts video productions.
- Experience clearing media and music rights and overseeing production-related contracts.
- Experience producing broadcast programming designed to support fundraising initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience with, and understanding of, social media best practices and tools.
- Experience forming and maintaining collaborative relationships with community partners with the goal of producing media productions.
- Knowledge of the diversity of Wisconsin's arts, people and cultures.
- General understanding of PBS, public media, state universities, state government or non-profit organizations.
