Apple News provides millions of users with trusted journalism from leading publishers around the globe. Curators at Apple News highlight the best and most engaging content for our large national audience. This is a yearlong contractor job for 40 hours per week, with the possibility of extension up to 18 months.
In this role, you will be responsible for selecting and writing headlines for articles across the Apple News ecosystem, prioritizing quality, accuracy, and performance. The ideal candidate has strong general-interest knowledge and could confidently curate across various topics, including health, lifestyle, and entertainment. Responsibilities include:
Writing sharp and compelling copy in the Apple News voice, working with editors to ensure that work meets all aspects of our house style.
Using data and analytics to responsibly optimize content.
Communicating directly with our publisher partners.
Working cross-functionally to support News projects and goals.
Surfacing bugs and other performance issues.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Excellent writing skills and strong news judgment.
Editing experience.
Proven track record of driving strong performance metrics.
Deep understanding of audience behavior.
Comfortable working across teams and incorporating feedback seamlessly into your work.
