The Republican, in Springfield, Massachusetts, is looking for reporters to join our newsroom. 

We’re a storied newspaper in our 200th year. Our founders campaigned to end slavery and, in the 1850s, suggested the name of a new national party. Today, The Republican has honed its mission to focus on meaningful in-depth coverage that serves the people of Western Massachusetts and moves the needle on public understanding.

Job Requirements

Candidates must possess the ability to write clean copy, break down complicated issues, spot trends, stay ahead of the news, engage on social media, use SEO best practices and be an early adopter of new technologies and best practices for driving growth in our digital audiences. 

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree and be able to show a high level of proficiency in news writing.
