ASSOCIATE PRODUCER/HILL TV
The Hill, one of the country’s fastest growing bipartisan political news sources, is seeking an enthusiastic, self-starter Associate Producer to be part of the team producing its new slate of digital-first video programs launching on its Hill.TV digital platform.
The daily productions will showcase world-class news talents and be produced in a new state of-the-art studio in Washington DC. The slate of programming includes both longform and short-form shows that leverage The Hill’s uniquely bipartisan brand, its deep reporting expertise and its 30 million-plus monthly consumers.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate must have at least two (2) years of professional experience in a television/video digital media setting. The candidate should also have experience in studio-based production and have an understanding of live-programming.
He/She should have the ability to work in a deadline driven news environment and offer superior writing, editing & research skills, and the ability to book interviews. Juggling multiple projects and working with a variety of team members are a must. Excellent organizational, written and verbal communications skills are essential.
Associate Producer will support multiple programs and producers as well as generate digital content, both print and video. Strong editorial awareness is important.
This position will work directly with the Hill.TV’s Executive Producer, program hosts, show producers and Executive Vice President.
College degree in journalism, broadcast communications, political science or history strongly preferred.
Ability to work regular early morning hours, or evenings and weekends on short notice when necessary. Some travel may be required.
