The Daily Beast is a leading digital news site known for its fearless and incisive reporting. We cover breaking news, politics, pop culture, and more with a distinctive voice that engages a dedicated audience.
About the Role
The Daily Beast is seeking a Weekend News Editor to help our dynamic newsroom. The ideal candidate will have experience editing breaking news, a sharp editorial eye, and the ability to drive compelling and impactful news coverage from Wednesday through Sunday. The role’s hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. EST Wednesday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Pay Range Salary
The pay range for this position is $80,000 to $95,000.
The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, performance and other factors. The range listed is just one component of The Daily Beast’s total compensation package. The Daily Beast provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, 401K employer matching program, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
