Job Description:

The Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Iowa State University seeks experienced professionals to teach one or more classes in our advertising, journalism, public relations and/or sports media programs starting in the 2025 spring semester. We are looking for candidates with professional experience in data-driven strategic communications and/or visual communication and design.

Job Requirements:

Required Minimum Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, advertising, public relations, or related field

• Two years of professional experience related to data-driven strategic communications and/or visual communication and design in journalism, advertising, public relations, or related field

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Master’s degree in journalism, advertising, public relations, or related field

• More than two years of professional experience related to data-driven strategic communications and/or visual communication and design in journalism, advertising, public relations, or related field beyond the required amount

• Demonstrated teaching excellence in higher education or advising, mentoring or training experience in communication or related field
