The Roanoke Times is seeking a regional business reporter. Responsibilities include covering major business stories and trends in the region, focusing on the healthcare and technology sectors, tourism and regional economic development. The beat also includes writing a weekly column about local retail and food businesses opening, expanding or closing. The job requires occasional night and weekend shifts. Successful candidates must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a valid driver’s license and vehicle, and be able to drive to assignments. Must be able to shoot and edit photos and video via smartphone.
