General Job Description:

Weigel Productions is seeking a Producer to manage all creative and production aspects of an episode for a national, one-hour, daily, nostalgic-themed, morning television program featuring some of the most beloved cartoons of all time.

 

The ideal candidate must be a highly creative self-starter with excellent leadership and organizational skills. Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust to change. Detail-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to multitask and prioritize work. An effective communicator who is comfortable working across multiple locations. 

 

Job Duties:

-Drive creative vision for an episode, oversee execution of the episode from start through post-production

-Generate, pitch and develop creative content

-Write show scripts

-Book topical guests, conduct pre-interviews, brief guests on show days

-Determine visual elements and props for episodes

-Coordinate logistics and clearly communicate creative needs with other departments including crew, graphics, post-production and art requests

-Brief hosts and production team

-Other duties as assigned


Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum 5 years of television producing experience

Demonstrate the ability to work with on-air talent, production teams, sponsors and even animals

Highly organized with strong writing and people skills are a must

Flexible work schedule required

Proficiency in MS Office is a must.

iNews, GV Stratus and Adobe C-Suite experience a plus.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $65,000-85,000 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
