Job Description
North Country Public Radio is seeking a creative, ambitious, and talented Social and Digital Media Specialist.
Key responsibilities and duties
Create, curate, source, prepare and edit content and materials for publishing and sharing across all NCPR social and digital media channels.
Collaborate with NCPR’s team of news reporters, content producers and other station staff to identify opportunities for developing digital content elements that will enhance the quality of our digital stories, programs, strategic endeavors and other digital productions.
Produce and distribute our daily, weekly and special email newsletters, as necessary.
Identify opportunities for connecting with our community and our audience via digital channels and work with the team on making those connections.
Monitor social media to identify trends, activity and interest that could become editorial and programming opportunities, and inform the team of those opportunities.
Maintain awareness of best practices in social media and work with the strategic team to inform NCPR’s activities within those spaces.

Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Two years professional social and digital content experience required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Photo and graphic editing and creation using Adobe Photoshop or similar tools
Light coding experience (HTML, CSS, JS, PHP)
Preferred Qualifications
Associates degree or higher preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
Experience using content management systems such as WordPress, Drupal or similar
Familiarity with ConstantContact or similar email newsletter publication tool
Digital audio editing using Adobe Audition, ProTools or equivalent
Graphics and/or visual design experience.
Familiarity with sound news judgment and adherence to journalistic ethics.
Familiarity with the places and people of the North Country region.
