Senior Manger, Podcast Lead

Job Description

OVERVIEW

Just Women’s Sports is looking for a creative and experienced/organized/tactful leader to lead our growing Podcast Network. In this role, you’ll develop a team responsible for the creation and execution of Just Women’s Sports (JWS) Podcasts. The ideal candidate has experience producing podcasts, has a team-centered approach, and is a fan of audio content and storytelling.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead the production and execution of podcasts across JWS. 
• Own podcast operations. This includes all processes and ways of working internally and cross-functionally
• Centralize and improve manual back-end processes for script curation
• Create processes and editorial strategies for supporting new audio initiatives
• Set and disseminate Podcast goals 
• Lead the JWS Podcast team – help them grow, create opportunities for them to learn new skills, and create and cultivate a supportive environment.
• Partner with content strategy leads on new projects 
• Lead the onboarding process of all new podcast hires

Job Requirements

WHO YOU ARE

• 3 – 6+ years experience
• Experience leading large distributed podcast streams
• Experience managing teams and developing them as leaders
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and initiatives
• Have a real passion for the podcast culture space and a great eye for quality content and talent
• Curious about JWS’ podcast listeners and interested in serving them great podcast experiences.
• Well-versed in cultural and societal trends in women’s sports, digital media, and podcasts.
• Ability to drive your own work independently, while leading multiple complex projects
• Skilled in creating and presenting operational plans
