Job summary
Apple News provides millions of users with trusted journalism from leading publishers around the globe. Editors at Apple News highlight the best and most engaging content on our platform. You will make real-time decisions based on the day’s events, curate content, write copy, and communicate directly with our publisher partners.

Key qualifications   

• You have strong editorial judgement and excellent writing skills.
• You have experience with analysis of breaking news and filing clear, concise copy at a quick pace. Newsletter experience a plus.
• You’ve worked in a variety of CMSs and social-media platforms, and have a keen understanding of the tools that support state-of-the-art editorial.
• You are fluent with data and analytics, and can responsibly incorporate user behavior into your editorial strategy.

Responsibilities

• Select articles for featuring across the Apple News ecosystem, with an emphasis on quality, accuracy, and context.
• Write sharp and engaging copy in the Apple News voice. Work with editors to ensure your work meets all aspects of our house style.
• Explain and provide context around complex news stories, often on tight deadlines.
• Work cross-functionally to support News projects and goals.
• Surface bugs and other performance issues.
