Media Coach Role
 
Our ideal candidate is a talented writer with 2-5 years of experience in a journalism, PR or communications role. Successful Media Coaches are strong collaborators, relationship builders and have an appreciation for the power of unlocking stories.
 
Media Coach Responsibilities

• Embrace and model the MINER Core Values
• Develop and maintain healthy and successful relationships with clients and media contacts
• Lead strategy sessions with new and existing clients to identify key messages and upcoming opportunities
• Strategically pitch stories, prepare talking points and schedule interviews
• Coach clients to deliver polished interviews and provide post-interview feedback
• Write social media posts to amplify interview opportunities and showcase clients' key messages and work closely with Social Media Team to execute 
• Write blogs and thought leadership articles that clearly and thoughtfully convey clients’ professional expertise
• Provide unparalleled collaboration and support to fellow Miners and fully embrace our enthusiasm and passion for our one-of-a-kind workplace culture!

Job Requirements

Media Coach Job Requirements

• Residence in or willing to relocate to Minneapolis area
• Proven prior success in a newsroom or journalism role
• Excellent communication skills, including writing creative content and the ability to give and receive constructive, relevant feedback
• Strong desire and commitment to learn and grow professionally
• Ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment
• Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Google app software (Gmail, Calendar, Drive) and general troubleshooting ability
• BS/BA degree 
• Sign necessary tax and government required employment paperwork and  Media Minefield Employee Agreement
