At MIT Technology Review, our mission is to use in-depth reporting to reveal what’s going on now and prepare readers for what’s coming next. We do this by publishing deep, insightful journalism about both how tech works and the political and social and economic factors that shape its progress. We’re supported by MIT but are editorially independent which means MIT does not direct or influence our coverage. Our primary beats are artificial intelligence, computing, biotechnology, and climate tech. We run new stories every weekday online and put out several beat-specific newsletters weekly, plus a daily newsletter called The Download. Every year we create special editorial packages including 10 Breakthrough Technologies, Innovators Under 35, and 15 Climate Tech Companies to Watch. We produce two magazines—MIT Technology Review and MIT Alumni News—that each publish six times a year. And we frequently showcase our journalism through online and in-person events.
