About Roads & Kingdoms Roads & Kingdoms (www.RoadsandKingdoms.com) started when a bestselling food writer met a TIME Magazine foreign correspondent at a smoked goat emporium on the outskirts of Mexico City. The company they planned that night—obsessed with food and politics, curious about the untold stories of the world—launched in 2012. Its audience and revenue have grown exponentially each year since, and Anthony Bourdain joined as an investor in 2015. R&K’s books series with HarperCollins is launching its third book in June 2018, and The Trip podcast is launching in January 2018. Roads & Kingdoms was named Best Online Travel Journalism Site by the Society of American Travel Writers and won this year’s James Beard award for Publication of the Year.
