100 Days in Appalachia is a media company in partnership with West Virginia Public Broadcasting, The Daily Yonder and the WVU Reed College of Media Innovation Center.
“100 Days in Appalachia” is an experimental project designed to burst the filter bubble of social news and to narrate the new American landscape from within the heart of a region dubbed "Trump Nation" 100 days at a time. As the nation’s growing rural/urban divide attracts a global audience and a steady stream of analysis in the election’s aftermath, 100 Days In Appalachia works to candidly narrate the political, economic and human stories within affected communties to create difference-bridging storytelling. 100 Days In Appalachia partners with major media organizations around the world in our reporting, such as The Guardian, and is funded in part by The Democracy Fund and The Benedum Foundation
